This CKDO Feature Weekend, we'll be celebrating the many iconic and classic albums that turn 50 in 2026.

 

A few of the notable ones we'll play tracks from include Stevie Wonder - Songs in the Key of Life, (winner of Album of the Year at the 19th Grammy Awards), Gordon Lightfoot's Summertime Dream (featuring what is definitely the only number one song about the sinking of an iron ore freighter), Boston's self-titled album (More Than A Feeling still holds up today with 1.1 billion streams on Spotify), ABBA - Arrival (featuring fan favourites, Dancing Queen, Money Money Money, and Knowing Me, Knowing You), and The Eagles - Hotel California (Is there any better lyric than, You can check out any time you like, but you can never leave?). All this and more this weekend, as we celebrate albums turning the big 5-oh!
