  • Be Prepared at the Oshawa Museum

    Don’t be left out! Join the hundreds of visitors who’ve already experienced Be Prepared, an exhibit dedicated to Oshawa’s Guiding and Scouting history. This Family Day, the Oshawa Museum is open from 12 – 4 p.m. for tours of the museum homes and activities associated with the Be Prepared exhibit. Use this as a pre-visit for your guiding or scouting group, and book an evening tour with us!

    Check out artefacts used for the game ‘Fortunately/Unfortunately, ’ design future uniforms for the young people of tomorrow, find out what a pollution catcher is, and leave us your favourite memories of guiding and scouting.

    Admission is $5 per person. Tickets can be purchased at Eventbrite.com/oshawamuseum or the door. This event starts in Guy House, the yellow building at the Oshawa Museum, in Lakeview Park, Oshawa.

    Whether your adoption parenting journey has just started or you’ve been on it for 20+ years, Pathways is the parenting training course for you. This FREE training provides practical parenting tools and techniques while connecting you with a community of other families on journeys similar to yours! 

    Our virtual sessions are a great chance to connect with other families! We are offering the following sessions:

    • Newly Placed Families (placed in the last 18 months) - January 25th
    • Single Parent - January 31st
    • Thursday Evenings - February 1st

  • 19th Annual Heart to Heart Gala

    Catholic Family Services of Durham is pleased to announce that tickets are on sale now for our 19th Annual Heart to Heart Gala!

    Join us for a lovely evening which includes a 3-course dinner with wine, a DJ-dance, raffles, live and silent auction. Tickets are $120 each, and a tax receipt will be issued for the donation portion of the ticket. 

    The funds raised at this event support programs and services to support the most vulnerable among us, regardless of ability to pay or religious beliefs.
