The Artform of the Week is Group Portrait by Douglas Coupland ~ Sculptor

The Robert McLaughlin Gallery72 Queen Street, Oshawa, ON
Coupland took Peter Croydon’s 1957 group portrait of The Painters Eleven, and used it as a framework to place abstract forms that represent each member. These forms and their colours are derived from a key piece of each of the eleven members’ works in the Gallery’s collection.
Be sure to allow time to visit the gallery to see current exhibitions: Painters Eleven: Abstract Bonds continuing at the RMG until August 24 and Oshawa Art Association's 57th Juried Art Exhibition ~ May 1 to 18

Test your brain’s ability to retain random knowledge and fun facts in an “anything goes” trivia night where all skills are welcome! Join as an individual or with a team of up to four people as we test your knowledge on movies, music, TV, cartoons, superheroes, pop culture, history, science, sports and more! Concessions and cash bar available.
NOTE: Each team will need to bring a smart phone, tablet or laptop to play.
