Please join for a ceremony recognizing National Indigenous Veterans' Day ceremony.

National Indigenous Veteran’s Day is observed annually on November 8, and honours and remembers the service, sacrifices, and contributions of First Nations, Inuit, and Métis veterans, many of whom served with distinction while facing systemic barriers and inequities at home.

This event is being coordinated by Whitby’s Diversity and Inclusion Advisory Committee, with guidance from Elder Tom Cowie of Hiawatha First Nation, a respected Knowledge Keeper and veteran. For more information, email diversity@whitby.ca
