  • Woodworker's Apprentice Workshop: Charcuterie Board

    In this hands-on workshop, you’ll craft your very own charcuterie board, perfect for hosting or gifting. From selecting and cutting the wood to sanding, wood-burning, and finishing, this experience is designed to teach you the fundamentals of woodworking while crafting a beautiful and practical piece for your kitchen. 

    There is also a 1:00 to 4:00pm time slot for this workshop.

  • Bloom Field Gardens 2nd Annual Garden Party "Promenade Through the Gardens"
    Mark your calendars for Bloom Field Gardens’ 2nd Annual Garden Party “Promenade Through the Gardens” in support of The Clarington East Food Bank
     
    On Saturday, July 5, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, we invite you to partake in a most delightful afternoon of live music, wine, beer, specialty cocktails, and the chance to explore our exquisitely landscaped gardens and grounds.
     
    Enjoy a traditional English tea service (pre-booking required for the 11:00 AM or 12:30 PM sittings), where elegance and refinement are sure to accompany every sip.
     
    Garden party attire is highly encouraged (but not required!): think soft pastels, flowing florals, gloves, fascinators, and parasols—for a chance to win exciting prizes!
     
    Stroll the gardens, sip something lovely, and let the afternoon unfold in the most enchanting of ways.
    Admission tickets and tea reservations are available online and in-store. (Tea reservations do not include cost of admission)
     
    Kindly note: This is a 19+ event (ID required upon entry)
     
    (100% of the entrance proceeds will be donated to the Clarington East Food Bank.)

  • Scarborough Rise 2025

    Scarborough Rise is a community-driven initiative dedicated to combating food insecurity and uplifting families across Scarborough through collective generosity, local partnerships, and heartfelt storytelling.

    Tickets are FREE! RSVP to receive a complimentary gift bag and more surprises!

    This one-day community fair will feature local vendors, food, and entertainment, drawing a diverse crowd across Scarborough. It offers sponsors and vendors a unique opportunity to engage with the community and gain brand exposure in a vibrant, high-traffic setting. 

    Every dollar raised goes directly toward CSAGSS’s Food Security programs, helping us provide nutritious meals, groceries, and vital support to families in need. Together, we can ensure no one in our community goes hungry. Our mission is to nourish bodies and empower hope. One meal, one neighbour, one donation at a time.

Set on a sprawling lavender farm with peaceful walking trails, a beautiful boutique and cafe, this venue offers moments of calm and tranquility. Join us for a shopping experience and unique handmade finds with local vendors, food trucks, and a sense of community. Tranquil trails & treasures await. It’s more than a market – it’s an experience!

  • "Always Something" by Jay Dart

    Scugog Arts will be showcasing “Always Something” by the whimsical, narrative-based Canadian artist and educator Jay Dart. Dart’s imaginative practice explores the creative process through layered visual storytelling, drawing from a variety of media, including drawing, mixed media, bookworks, installation, and animation. This exhibit presents selections from his acclaimed “Yawnder” series alongside new and recent works that build immersive worlds rooted in personal and universal creative journeys.

    This exhibition will open on Saturday, July 5, with a reception from 1–3 PM at the Scugog Arts Space, located at 268 Queen Street, Port Perry, ON L9L 1B8,and will run daily from 10 AM–6 PM until July 27. Guests are invited to meet the artist, explore his imaginative and inspiring works, and enjoy light refreshments during the opening event.

  • Port Oshawa Pioneer Cemetery
    Take a walk to Oshawa's oldest cemetery, and discover more about those who are laid to rest within. Along the way, Oshawa Museum staff will chat about places of interest through Lakeview Park.
     
    Admission is $5/person (FREE for members of the Oshawa Historical Society). The tour departs from Guy House at the Oshawa Museum, and the walk to the cemetery features an incline.
