  • Whitby Rotary Ribfest Plus

    The 14th annual Whitby Ribfest Plus by the Rotoary Club of Whitby is back on July 11,12 and 13 for 2025 with amazing ribbers but also a killer live show featuring Big Wreck!

    Come down to Victoria Feilds and enjoy mouth watering, fall of the bone ribs, and also lots of fun for the whole family. Not only do they ahve the ribs but they also have live entertainment on all day, diferent vendors for you to shop through but also let the kids enjoy the kids fest!

     

    Addmission is free but they are accepting donations at the gate to help the Whitby Sunrise Rotary Club!

  • Yoga in the Garden
    Breath deep, take a moment, and do a sun salutationin the summer sun with the Oshawa Museum's Yoga in the Garden, Friday mornings at 9 AM.
     
    Starting June 6 at 9 AM, we're on the mat and ready to flow. Classes are free, drop-in, 1-hour long sessions, with donations to the Oshawa Museum gratefully accepted. The series continues every Friday morning, rain or shine, through September.
     
    All levels of yogis are welcome! Participants are required to bring their own mats, water, and any props that support their practice.
     
    Washrooms are available in Lakeview Park for participants. Not all yogis enjoy pets and animals during their practice. If you bring a pet, they must always be on a short leash.

  • "Always Something" by Jay Dart

    Scugog Arts will be showcasing “Always Something” by the whimsical, narrative-based Canadian artist and educator Jay Dart. Dart’s imaginative practice explores the creative process through layered visual storytelling, drawing from a variety of media, including drawing, mixed media, bookworks, installation, and animation. This exhibit presents selections from his acclaimed “Yawnder” series alongside new and recent works that build immersive worlds rooted in personal and universal creative journeys.

    This exhibition will open on Saturday, July 5, with a reception from 1–3 PM at the Scugog Arts Space, located at 268 Queen Street, Port Perry, ON L9L 1B8,and will run daily from 10 AM–6 PM until July 27. Guests are invited to meet the artist, explore his imaginative and inspiring works, and enjoy light refreshments during the opening event.
