Learn about the history of Black and Indigenous enslavement in Canada and notable Black Canadian figures from historian and local author Channon Oyeniran. Her historical children’s novel The Time Travels of Ara: Harriet Tubman and the Underground Railroad is featured in the Durham Indie Collection. This event is in partnership with the Whitby Diversity and Inclusion Advisory Committee.
