Join us in the magical mezzanine of the Biltmore Theatre on Thursday, May 30 at 7pm for an intimate night of songs and storytelling with Oshawa singer-songwriter Daniel Raymond.  Raymond will be playing all of the songs from his new EP, ‘What We Are Trying to Become’ in a stripped-down musical duo with J.G. Folsky – with a focus on describing stories about the writing and recording of each song. This will be followed by performances of a range of songs from his other releases.

The new EP – which was recorded and produced by Ottawa’s Jim Bryson – has been receiving positive recognition since its release.  Canadian Beats states, “The EP is a testament to Raymond’s dedication to growth, both musically and lyrically. Collaborating with new musicians and producer Jim Bryson, Raymond embarked on a journey to craft a sound that resonates with hope while retaining the raw honesty of his previous works.” Cactus Cottage adds, “Daniel delivers complex feelings and insight with great musical accessibility. Sometimes things are hard, and the right artistic expression of those things makes them relatable. This EP is a road trip to find our true selves, and it's happening on a beautiful sunny day in a cherry red convertible with the top down and the wind just right.”

25% of the proceeds from the night will go to Feed the Need in Durham and the Downie-Wenjack Foundation.
