Lots of outdoor winter fun to get in on this weekend in Durham Region!
Find me Saturday morning out on the ice on Lake Scugog in Port Perry for the Scugog Pond Hockey Tournament! The epic 3-on-3 challenge is back! This year, proceeds support the Jennifer Ashley Children’s Charity! Even if you’re not participating in a game there’s tons of activities available for spectators to get in on!
I’ll be heading to the Tomlinson Community Centre in Claremont afterwards for the Claremont Winter Carnival! Don’t miss out on their winter parade which begins at 10:00am, and afterwards both inside and outside the Community Centre there’s fun for all ages!
Hoping for some warmer weather on Sunday, find me at the Glen Rouge Campground in Scarborough where you can always find a guided trail hike to go on! They list all their hikes and you can RSVP by visiting pc.gc.ca.
Find me on Sunday afternoon in Valleyview Park in Pickering! The synthetic skating rink is set up once again this year and you can lace up your skates and enjoy some outdoor fun on Sunday afternoon!
Make sure you’re following along with the weekend fun on my Twitter page: @CKDOkyle
You can always submit your own not-for-profit event for free on durhamradioevents.com
Have a good weekend!
